Welcome to the USS Avenger NCC-75957-A!

Space the final frontier...

The Dominion War is a thing of the past. The Federation has won with the help of brave explorers of Starfleet. That doesn't mean that there is no danger however. This is space after all and space is a dangerous place.

To help combat those dangers Starfleet has created the Special Forces and their lead ship the USS Avenger. This Avenger is nothing like her sister though. The old Avenger was a ship built for war, a ship to bring devastation and carnage to her enemies.

This new Avenger was built with a different purpose in mind. She is a ship of peace, a ship of salvation. This new Avenger travels the stars rendering assistance to those in need as the lead ship in the Starfleet Special Forces new Search and Rescue Division.

Still if trouble finds her she can hold her own in a fight. She is also a ship of exploration, much larger than her namesake, she is able to go places and do things that other ships can only dream of.

Do you have what it takes to serve as a member of Search and Rescue? The days of exploration are not over but this vessel was built with another purpose in mind. Join the Avenger and her crew as the defend the ideals of the United Federation of Planets, brave the final frontier.

Hi guys!

I just wanted to give you all a heads up that my writing/reading time will be a bit sporadic in the coming month. My sisters, their husbands, and my nieces and nephew will be visiting the entire month of June.

I'll still be writing and reading (I'll need the down-time as well), but as I'm not sure what each day will bring, I just wanted to give a heads up that I might be slower to respond to JPs and posting.

I just finished reading the latest Star Trek novel (Post-Nemesis/Post-Reboot Universe). I have to admit that it's such a great read. I love that the novels have tied everything together leading into the storyline of Star Trek Online. If you haven't read anything or have any questions, let me know-- I'll gladly fill you in. I wanna spoil so much but it just wouldn't be fair to you! Haha, I will say that the Enterprise-E Mark II is sharp and that it's new Captain is very welcoming. I welcome you all to pick up a novel and come join me in 2388 (TNG/DS9/VOY present time).

Anyways, Best Wishes-- hope ya'll are enjoying the current Avenger storyline.

» Congrats to our longest serving crew member

Posted on Thu Jan 6th, 2011 @ 9:47am by Captain Jason Striker in Simm Announcement

With the help of Plas I have been going in and redoing our awards. I have decided to award longevity awards to each member of the crew starting from back when we came together all those years ago. A great deal of use have been together as a crew for 6 years with a few of you having been with us for 4 years. There is 1 member of the crew however that trumps us all for time being on the Avenger.

I still remember when I took over as host of the Avenger, back when I was first learning how to run a sim and she was a Defiant Class Vessel. The old crew had been through several hosts in a very short period. There were a few people that quit when I joined, believing that I was going to simply be just another in a long line of hosts that came in, ran the sim for a bit, got bored and then left. I contacted each member of the crew and personally asked them to stay. Out of them 3 decided to give me a chance to gain their trust. These were Theta Android Operations Officer, Amanda Rose the ships Counselor (who here remembers the battles between a stubborn Engineer named Ariana and our counselor? Those two had some of the best posts in the old days) and finally our helmsman Landon Peacecraft. I still remember his post of "Commander on the bridge." when Striker stepped on to the Bridge for the first time.

Landon is the longest serving member of the Avengers crew and the only person that remains from before I took over. Thank you for sticking with us for so long my friend. I'm glad you did and look forward to many more years of posting with you... with all of you, but for now to Landon I saw CHEERS and HIP HIP HOORAY!!!
